<p>Esa galaxia espiral, descubierta en 1876 por el astrónomo alemán Wilhelm Tempel, &#8220;se extiende unos inmensos 200.000 años luz de diámetro y se encuentra aproximadamente a 100 millones de años luz de distancia en la constelación norteña de Camelopardalis (la Jirafa)&#8221;, detalla la agencia espacial estadounidense. Las estrellas jóvenes de los brazos espirales de la galaxia son visibles por su brillante luz azul. Mientras, el área central, más oscura y roja, está compuesta principalmente por estrellas más viejas, dice la NASA.</p>
